Faith
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. (Hebrews 11:1)
"Be positive", we have all heard that before, but what is the reason for being positive? What effect does being positive have? Could it be the emotions, thoughts and words that are generated when we think positive thoughts about a situation?
Emotions, thoughts and words are very powerful and can impact a situation in a negative or positive way. By thinking positive thoughts, i.e, by having faith and considering things we are believing for, though unseen, as though we are already seeing them (Romans 4:17), we generate positive emotions, thoughts, words and positive energy. These all work to produce our desired outcome.
Remember, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen (Hebrews 11:1). By being genuinely happy and excited as though what we are believing God for is already done, we are producing 'The Substance' of the thing we are hoping for and we are also demonstrating 'The Evidence' of the thing which to us, is currently unseen. We are having faith; therefore our desired outcome will be manifested.
Why will our desired outcome be manifested? Because the Word of God says, If we have faith even as small as a mustard seed we shall say to the mountain, move from here to there and it will move (Matthew 17:20)
MESSAGE: When we pray, we must focus on the desired result
